Our Core Curriculum
At Green Grass Nursery (GGN), our curriculum blends the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the Forest School ethos, all delivered through our unique bilingual Arabic-English inquiry-based programme.
We believe learning should be joyful, meaningful, and inclusive, focused on the individual needs, strengths, and cultural identity of every child aged 1 to 5 years.
EYFS Framework
The EYFS framework guides our nurturing and stimulating learning environment. It ensures children develop holistically across seven key areas, preparing them with a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our Own Bilingual Inquiry Approach
Using our carefully curated bilingual blueprint, children engage in Arabic and English immersion through inquiry-led learning. This approach fosters deep language fluency and critical thinking.
Reggio Meets Forest School
We combine the child-led, sensory, and expressive values of Reggio Emilia with the outdoor, nature-focused, experiential learning of Forest School. Our “classes with no walls” encourage curiosity and connection with the natural world.

Pre-Toddlers
(Confident Walker – 0y8m – 1y6m)
A calm and nurturing environment where infants feel secure to explore. Focused on sensory stimulation, emotional bonding, and gentle routines that foster curiosity and independence.
Toddlers
(1y6m – 2y0m)
Enriched play-based classrooms that support early language development, coordination, and social interaction. Music, movement, and hands-on sensory experiences help children express themselves and begin social interaction.
Nursery
(2y0m – 2y6m)
Children begin building friendships, confidence, and independence through structured and open-ended activities. Learning focuses on language, early numeracy, social skills, and emotional expression. Play-based, hands-on learning encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
Pre-Foundation
(2y6m – 3y0m)
A slightly more advanced environment where children engage in imaginative play, collaborative projects, and inquiry-led experiences. Focus is on bilingual language development, early literacy and numeracy concepts, and self-confidence. Children are encouraged to take initiative and lead small explorations with guidance from educators.
Foundation Stage 1
(FS1) (3y0m – 4y0m)
Balanced programme blending early phonics, numeracy, expressive arts, and nature-based inquiry. Children develop resilience, problem-solving, and foundational academic skills in both English and Arabic.
Foundation Stage 2
(FS2) (4y0m – 5y0m)
FS2 is designed to prepare children for primary school with structured bilingual literacy, numeracy, and project-based learning. Children grow into confident learners with a strong foundation in both languages
